My favourite makeup products (May) ♥

Happy June everyone!

For this post I'm going to be talking about my favourite makeup products from the month of May 2015.

I know I'm constantly reading other peoples posts about their favourite products, so I thought I'd make my own - and here it is!

//the images became blurry when I uploaded them :( //

♥ BB Cream

 Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream

I love this bb cream! It's so lightweight I don't even notice it's there. It's mosturising but doesn't leave my face oily and shiny. The coverage of this cream is pretty light so you might need to add a bit of foundation with more coverage to areas where you need it.

♥ Foundation

Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation

This Rimmel foundation has pretty good coverage without it being thick and cakey. I use a damp beauty blender to apply this and build it up where necessary. It has a matte effect and doesn't make your skin feel oily.

♥ Under Eye Concealer

Essence Stay All Day Concealer

Thanks to my weird sleeping patterns, I usually have horrible dark circles under my eyes. this concealer hides them effortlessly and brightens up my whole face by doing so. It doesn't cake up and 2 layers is enough to hide even my worst bags.

♥ Mascara

Maybelline Falsies Volume Express

This is actually my second favourite mascara after Maybelline Rocket Volume, but because this one isn't waterproof and the other one is I've been wearing this one more (I don't want to damage my lashes). Falsies adds length and volume to the lashes with its awesome curved wand. It doesn't leave clumps and it comes off easily with a bit of face wash and water.

♥ Eye Liner

Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner in Black

First of all, I'm no expert at applying liquid eyeliner. But I find that this one is actually really easy to apply! Because it is a felt tip liner you generally have to do more than one coat for it not to look brown or kind of watered down. I would recommend this to anyone buying a liquid liner for the first time.

Maybelline Master Drama Kohl in Dark Brown

This is also a great liner if you're going for a more subtle look. Black liner can be more harsh if you're not use to seeing yourself with it on, so this is great to start off with. I find it's also great to line your upper lash line then just smudge it and add a bit of gold eye shadow for a smokey-ish look.

♥ Blush

Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush

I personally don't like powder blushes as I find they give the skin a dry look, so this was an awesome buy for me! you simply get a bit of product on your finger, stipple and blend it into the skin and you're good to go!

♥ Eye Shadow

Maybelline Diamond Glow in Coffee Drama

When I first purchased this little pallet I didn't realise it would be so sparkly, and I was kinda put off for a little while. But I persevered and I actually really like it now! the combination of colours in this pallet means that you can create a daytime or night-time look in minutes.

 ♥ Lips

Maybelline Baby Lips Dr. Rescue in Just Peachy

A few days before I bought this my lips were actually becoming very dry due to the weather. I started applying it when necessary the day I bought it and when I woke up the next morning, my lips were peeling a bit. I scrubbed the dead skin off with a sugar scrub from Lush and kept applying it. My lips are now really soft and haven't peeled again (thank goodness because it was gross). This lip ice has a weird menthol-hospital-hand sanitizer smell but don't let it put you off because it really works!

The Body Shop Strawberry Lip Gloss

This is definitely my favourite lip gloss ever. it not sticky, it smells really good and it's super moisturising.
